We have nearly twenty acres of garden and fields and we want you to feel at home here and to make full use of the garden. Some guests take a book or glass of wine (or both) to a shady corner of the garden, listen to the birds or watch the butterflies and take it easy.
Play tennis on the hard tennis court. Let the children run around, play hide and seek or discover a ‘den’ under the trees. Take the barbecue into the field and watch the sun set across the river and distant hills. There are walks from our door along quiet country lanes, across farmland and woods. We can help with directions – and suggest a good pub to aim for! If you want to explore further afield there is so much to do. There are castles and caves to discover, market and spa towns to browse in – and the whole of the Royal Forest of Dean to explore and enjoy.
From the Forest of Dean, with its bike trails, caves and natural lakes, through to local market towns and castles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Find out about the local area, and if you have any questions we are happy to give you some ideas.
