We try to offer the kind of hospitality that we would like to receive ourselves:a friendly welcome on your arrival, a home made cake on the table and milk in the fridge for a cup of tea as you relax after your journey. Perhaps some helpful advice on all the surrounding area has to offer - and then to be left in peace to enjoy your holiday.
You might enjoy the following:
We have nearly nine acres of garden and field & we want you to feel ‘at home’ here and to make full use of the garden if you wish –why not take a book or glass of wine (or both) to a shady corner of the garden, listen to the birds or watch the butterflies and take it easy.
Play tennis on the hard tennis court.Let the children run around, play hide and seek, discover a ‘den’ under the trees. Take the barbecue into the field and watch the sun set across the river and distant hills.
There are walks from our door along quiet country lanes, across farmland and woods. We can help with directions –and suggest a good pub to aim for!
If you want to explore further afield there is so much to do. There are castles & caves to discover, market and spa towns to browse in– and the whole of the Royal Forest of Dean to explore and enjoy.
